Gran Hotel Parana

For a capital city, about 240 euros for eight nights was great value. The staff and location were also why I gave it five stars, and the office and business area was only a few blocks away. The breakfast was plentiful, but I'd go around 7am while the food is still warm and fresh. There's a pool on the eighth floor. My room had a fridge, TV, and all the comforts, but something about it felt a bit depressing. Maybe it was the classic desk or the dark shaded floor, though I can't say for sure. I'd recommend the hotel to people traveling for business.

Don't stay here. It was extremely dirty. We found a coin and lots of hair under the sheets, so it seemed like they hadn't even been washed.

Only a few floors are operating at the moment; the rest are being remodeled. The lobby is very nice, and the price seems economical for European or American tourists. I was quoted 1550 euros a month. I'm not sure about the nightly rate, but it should be around 60 or 70 dollars. There's live music every night in the penthouse bar, mostly local music or rock from what I've heard lately. I live nearby and see the hotel every day. It gets many visitors from Argentina, Uruguay, and other countries. There are lots of hotels around, but this is one of the nicer ones. Hotel Roney Hotel come the ball is a little finer but more expensive. This one is good for budget travelers.

The rooftop didn't look like the pictures, and there was no restaurant. Martin, one of the employees, had a bad attitude, but the manager, Saul, was cool.
