I wouldn't stay here for any reason related to comfort, health, or safety. Avoid it. I've spent 14 months travelling around Latin America, and this “hotel” is the worst place I've been in. They gave us the wrong hotel name and address, costing us an extra Uber ride and 45 minutes before we found the actual hotel. If the hotel changes, update the details. The place was run-down, old, dirty, and smelled awful. It seemed not to have been cleaned in a long time, and there was mould throughout the rooms, which I found worrying for your lungs. The two people we dealt with came across as lazy and disinterested, and their attitude and ability to run the business were very poor. They were the least friendly people I've met on my travels. Do better representing your country. Goodbye. 👋

The room had lots of mould on the walls, and we could smell it before going inside because the door wasn't shut. When we raised the issue with the woman at reception, she refunded us. She had been friendly when we arrived, but didn't answer our questions; she gave us wet towels and pointed us toward the room. The hotel appeared in a completely different place on Google Maps because Booking.com listed it under "Central Hotel Asunción" instead of "Riviera Puerto Hotel Asunción".

The sink water was grey and really gross, and our room looked like it was from the 1900s. Breakfast was just bread, jam, and coffee. A complete fail.

My favorite place to stay in Asuncion. The staff are so friendly. Thanks, Alfredo...

The service was friendly and the location was the one thing that helped redeem the stay. The room was tiny, with no chairs, tables, or place to put clothes. The bed and sheets were only okay, though at least they seemed clean and didn't smell bad. The building was old and nothing like the photos, but the air conditioning worked well. There was no hot water in the shower, and the sink was tiny. Breakfast was awful: coffee, milk, bread and cake, plus barely any of two kinds of fruit. Nothing like the photos. Calling it a "Suite" is misleading. Riviera sounds like it might mean the Riviera Maya 😆. It felt almost like a rip-off.
