The staff were really helpful, and downtown and supermarkets were close enough to walk to. I spent just under a week here in late June 2016 and had a great time. Of all the hostels I stayed at during five weeks in South America, this was my favorite. The bunks have plenty of room, with power outlets and privacy curtains. Breakfast was pretty standard, and the place was clean and reasonably priced.

The pool was dirty and full of rubbish, and the breakfast was just bread and butter, poor compared with other hostels nearby. The photos and descriptions don’t match what you get. The kitchen is cramped and dirty, with only one working hob; the oven and kettle are broken, and there are no bowls, cutlery, glasses, or mugs. The room is tiny despite supposedly being for 40 people. Bathrooms were dirty, with blocked toilets and mould on the walls and ceilings. Shower floors were dirty, and the water didn’t drain, leaving you standing in other people’s hair and mess. The rooms themselves were okay, and the curtains are a nice idea, but they spread across the floor and are filthy.

It’s easy to walk to the centre and the main tourist sights from here. The hostel also has a really nice outdoor space with a pool and barbecue.
