Teko Arte Hostel & Bar

A lovely, laid-back hostel with a really peaceful feel. It was a great place to chill and reset, especially since there isn't much around beyond a few bars and shopping areas. The nearby lake was lovely for a walk. The staff were so kind and made us feel at home, and there was a very sweet dog too. The dorms stayed at a great temperature with the aircon running during the day, which we really appreciated after spending a long time out in the heat.

The staff were very helpful with my questions and spoke very good English. There was free drinking water in the common room, and both the rooms and beds were spacious. I liked staying here and would recommend it. It's also conveniently within walking distance of the bus station.

The location works well for shopping, visiting the lake, and getting to the bus terminal. The big room costs 85k, and the four-person dorm is 95k. Both have a bathroom. Each bed has a fitted sheet, a pillow, and a polyester blanket, but no sheet to cover yourself with. There are no bed curtains either. You can hang the blanket up for privacy, but then you have nothing left to cover yourself with. There were mosquitoes, and the swimming pool was out of service. In the big room, a wall light wouldn't turn off, and the air felt stagnant. A fan would've been much appreciated. The small room's AC was noisy, and it smelled of mosquito repellent.

The staff are very friendly, and it's a nice hostel. The facilities feel a bit old and not especially clean, though it's alright overall. The location isn't as good, since it's far from the center.
