We were just as happy with our stay this time as we were two years ago. The place was spotless, and breakfast was generous. Stella really does her best to meet what her guests need. We spent two nights here in September 2018 and had a great time. We’ll come back.

The owner was friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was adequate. We stayed for two nights and could park safely on the street. The room was very clean, but small and dark. The bathroom was clean too, with a rather unusual hot water setup. It worked, though.

We arrived as a couple in October, during Paraguay’s pleasant spring and the off-season, without booking that day. Stella and her mother welcomed us warmly. Our room was in the little house across from their home, quiet both day and night. We just crossed the street to eat in their shaded, breezy garden. Everything they served was fresh and homemade, and they looked after us so well. Stella was happy to adapt: when I didn’t want much for dinner, she made me a nice fruit salad and yogurt. The next day her mother surprised us with a kind of Mbeju we hadn’t tried before, Mbeju Typyraty, made from the residue left after starch is pressed and strained. It used to be cooked more often and is becoming rare. Thank you both for such a warm welcome. We’d love to return, see more of Paraguay beyond the usual places, and recommend your lovely spot to our friends and colleagues.

The Mission of San Cosme and Damián is just steps away, and the inn feels peaceful, surrounded by nature. The rooms are simple, with lovely rustic, handmade decor and all modern comforts. It’s clean and pleasant, with Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, and traditional Paraguayan food. The owner gave us attentive, personal service.
