Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara Resort

Habib really made my solo visit special. He took me around the island by buggy and showed me different spots, then offered to take photos so I could have memories of the day. He was warm, thoughtful, and lovely company. Omari also helped us out with towels and ice cooler packs. He was funny, friendly, and attentive, and made sure we were comfortable. The rest of the staff across the island were welcoming, helpful, and professional too. I had an amazing experience and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

The all-inclusive package was a real highlight for us. It covered several à la carte restaurants around the island, and they felt like proper standalone restaurants, with a huge choice of dishes. Everything we tried was delicious. We spent a full week here over New Year’s. It was easy to keep active and still have a relaxed, fun family stay, with tennis, padel, a gym, and activities throughout the day. Getting into the city was simple too, since boats were easy to book for day trips. New Year’s Eve was great fun, even without fireworks. One of the best all-inclusive resorts I’ve stayed at, and an easy, stress-free place to stay if you want good food and plenty of sports.

The kids had plenty to keep them busy during our four nights in a private villa with our one- and three-year-olds. They loved the small water park, adventure park, playground, and large kids club, and there were other activities too. It worked really well for a family stay. Mr. Muthu, our personal butler, and Destiny both took great care of us from start to finish. They were attentive and handled our extra requests with care and professionalism. Ahmet, Elisha, and Andrew drove us between the villa and restaurants, always friendly and happy to chat, which made the rides enjoyable. At Al Nahm, which we thought was the best restaurant on the island, Thusandra gave us outstanding service. We truly enjoyed our time at Banana Island resort by Anantara, and will definitely come back on our next visit to Qatar.

It felt peaceful and beautifully designed from the moment we arrived, and getting there was easy with just a short boat ride from the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely views that made mornings feel special. The beach was pristine, and there were plenty of facilities and activities, as well as the option to relax by the pool. The staff were warm and attentive throughout, and dining had both delicious food and good variety. It’s a serene, exclusive place that would suit families, couples, or anyone wanting to relax and recharge. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return.
