City Gate Hotel

The place has a relaxing ambiance, and the staff were accommodating. Very nice stay, I’ll come back again soon.

The security at the entrance, reception staff, and manager were all so nice. This is the most beautiful and nicest hotel I’ve ever been to. City Gate Hotel feels like home now, and I’m coming back. I’ll recommend it to other people too. Thanks so much.

The people were friendly and respectful, including the staff, security, and workers. Still, management, communication, and facilities made for a very disappointing stay. I’d booked through Booking.com, but on arrival I was told the hotel no longer worked with them. I had to book again directly at the much higher rate of 200 per night, and they only took cash. Later I learned two other guests had been quoted 150 per night because the air conditioners weren’t working. Nobody told me about that before I paid. The air conditioning throughout the hotel was very poor. Some nights it was so hot we struggled to sleep. They said the internet problem would be fixed “today or tomorrow,” but there was no internet during my entire five-day stay. At checkout, reception first told me nothing was pending. Then, with my Uber already waiting and me rushing to catch my flight, the receptionist suddenly asked me to wait while they checked the room. Housekeeping had been cleaning it daily, but she kept me waiting for quite a while and caused unnecessary stress.

The rooms are superb, and the City Gate Hotel staff treated me like a new baby boy. They welcomed me with lovely smiles. Thanks to the entrance security and the night manager for the sweet words. I’m coming back with my friends, that’s a promise.
