Doha Downtown Hotel Apartments

The flat was worn down, broken, and full of cockroaches. I also had a bad experience with the Tunisian broker Ashraf, who made promises that weren't kept. If you still book here, go straight through reception instead of paying a broker. I would avoid both this apartment and the broker.

Good rooms and service, and the maintenance was easy to deal with. Mister wahaj was helpful, and checkout was easy too.

I sent management photos of the problems on April 9th and still haven't heard back or seen anything fixed. The units I rented at Doha Downtown Hotel and Apartments all had serious issues: old, worn furniture, cockroaches, and no real response to problems with pest control, the A/C, electricity, or plumbing. Maintenance was practically absent. Renting multiple units here turned into a nightmare. The lack of attention to basic upkeep is appalling. I can't recommend the place, and would tell prospective renters to look elsewhere to spare themselves the stress.

I checked out, and they wouldn't return my deposit. When I tried to complain, the receptionist told me, “don’t talk to us”!!!! The staff were the worst, and apparently there are no rules against the women moving through the building, even at 5 am. The apartment was filthy, smelled bad everywhere, and had lots of cockroaches and other pests. The kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, the bed covers stank, and there were no lights at the swimming-pool. I'd rather stay in the street than rent here.
