Warwick Doha

The people here really made the stay, especially Cynthia, Rose, Rani, and the rest of the team. They were charming, polite, and wonderfully attentive. We spent nine fantastic nights here over F1 Grand Prix weekend. The traditional rooms are beautiful, breakfast is a huge and tasty buffet, and there’s a fabulous rooftop pool. Getting around was easy, with a metro station just 150m away. Doha is a wonderful city too.

I liked the service at the pool, where George quickly noticed when something was needed, and the staff were generally friendly. Abed at the front desk even lent me his charger for the whole week after I forgot mine. Breakfast was good, though it was pretty much the same every day. I also appreciated the Indian staff member, possibly Rana, though I can’t remember her name. She was professional, service-minded, and attentive to details. I stayed for a week and enjoyed Warwick hotel overall, but the building felt a bit shabby despite being very clean. During Ramadan the gym opened at 9:00, which made it a rush to work out and get breakfast before it closed at 10:30. I would’ve liked more greenery near the entrance or pool, and a small outdoor seating area or bench. Thanks for the care and service. All the best, Bea.

I understand a hotel may charge for a lost key. My complaint is how the night shift receptionist handled it. When I asked for a replacement after losing my room key, he asked how many keys were missing and said straight away that I’d be charged 50 riyals, without respectfully explaining the policy. When I asked why, he replied, “maybe you’re used to one-star hotels where it’s free, but here we charge.” It was rude, condescending, humiliating, and completely inappropriate. The way he spoke damaged my experience and my confidence in the hotel’s service. Staff should explain policies politely, and management needs to address professionalism and training, especially on night shifts.

Mr Dominic was especially helpful and friendly, with a courteous manner and such a happy personality. The location, rooms, and attention to detail from the staff all made for a really great stay at Warwick.
