The bathroom had a strange smell, maybe from the cleaning products. Some staff were nice, but others were quite rude and unwelcoming. I think they need more training since they’re the face of the place. I wanted to keep the window open, but there was constantly someone banging or doing something at night. There were no foot towels in the bathroom, and the locker was just a drawer with a key. You can’t fit your bag in there.

I had a really positive stay. Just keep in mind that, since it’s a hostel, there’s no laundry or ironing service. You’ll need to bring your own drinking water, and there isn’t a kitchen for cooking or heating food.

Qatar Youth Hostels was a great stay for a budget trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, and the location was very convenient. Highly recommended!

I paid 100QR, about £22, for one night and was lucky enough to have a twin room to myself. The room was new, very clean, with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. There are water coolers on every floor, too. It’s a welcome alternative to overpriced hotels in such an expensive country. The place is new and feels like a four-star hotel. Not all the staff speak much English, so be patient. It’s a 10-minute walk to the metro, and I got to the airport within 40 minutes of leaving the hostel. Thank you for the kind hospitality.
