Velero Hotel Doha Lusail

The Valero Hotel had been on my list ever since I saw it lit up beautifully at night on the drive back from The Pearl in November 2024. This was my third trip to Qatar and my second holiday in 2025, and after four nights over the festive period, I’m glad the hotel lived up to what I’d hoped for. I’d happily return and recommend it. Its location in upscale Lusail made getting there from Hamad International Airport easy by Metro and Tram, with Marina North the closest station. Place Vendôme Mall is a stunning ten-minute walk away. A nice extra is complimentary access to Doha Beach Sands Club in West Bay. It took about 15 minutes by tram and metro from Marina North to DECC station, so the trip was convenient. I was pleasantly surprised to get a complimentary room upgrade at check-in. The room was spacious and luxurious, with a very high standard of finish. Housekeeping kept it spotless and well cared for throughout. Breakfast was generally enjoyable, with plenty of choice, and everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Around 9:00am it got busy, though, and service felt a little chaotic. The pool is on the small side too. When I went, there were only a couple of other guests, but I can imagine it getting crowded at full capacity.

Nazim made my stay especially pleasant. He was thoughtful, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, and his positive attitude stood out. The room was quiet, clean, and well-maintained, so I had a comfortable and enjoyable trip. I’d gladly recommend the hotel and will come back on my next visit. Thank you, Nazim!

I really appreciated having a 24-hour lounge in the hotel, and room service was convenient too. The hotel is within walking distance of Vendôme Mall, and customer service was outstanding throughout my stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with excellent amenities. The only drawback was the lack of an airport shuttle.

Ranato arranged a lovely setting for my son’s 16th birthday, with 25 guests. Since it was Ramadam, we had the iftar buffet, which was lovely, and the staff were extremely hospitable. We really appreciated their wonderful service and the special effort they put into the occasion.
