Maureen at the front desk was wonderfully helpful and courteous. She sorted out our booking error and took care of whatever else we needed, so the place felt almost like staying with a close friend or relative. The rooms are a little old but still fairly comfortable, with a distinctive design and a handy cooking patio or balcony. The leafy surroundings are breezy. Town and the pier are over a 20-minute walk away, with uphill slopes, so having a car is probably wise.

It's a pleasant setting with a great swimming pool, though the hotel is a little way from the center. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our clean room had Wi-Fi, a fridge and air conditioning, and free parking was available in the hotel car park or outside the entrance.
