The location near the beach and pool was great, and the garden and terrace are fantastic. At breakfast, though, some street dogs came by. The service was adequate and the buffet average. When we checked in, the corridors smelled just like our room. Maybe it was room perfume, or pesticides used again for what looked like cockroaches. For the price per night, the state of the room and bathroom deserves at best a 1 Star. It's okay for 1 or 2 nights, but I wouldn't spend the money on a longer stay. @Hotel Management - you can't keep painting things that need replacing 😉

The surroundings felt cozy, and the place was cool to stay in. I felt at home and enjoyed being able to mingle with the local. A massive thanks to Maxence the front desk officer.

We had a lovely time getting to the beach. Breakfast was very average, and the pool area was just okay. It felt odd that the pool was heated when the temperature was over 33 degrees. Check-in was shocking, our rooms weren't ready until around an hour and a half after 2pm.

The food wasn't great, and the bar drinks were even worth. Visitors can use the restaurant without booking a room, but THE POOL IS NOT! They advertise their 2 restaurants with the pool picture, which is misleading. The outdoor area was dangerous too, with broken chairs and screws sticking out. There's no maintenance at all. Staff were anything but friendly, especially when they realized I wasn't a hotel client. With that attitude, I didn't want to be, so I turned back!

The rooms and bathrooms really need renovation, the age shows. If those were completely redone, this would easily be a 5. Still, the lovely staff, gardens, pool, dinner buffet, and location earn it a solid 4 🌟. I love this sincere resort, just steps from the beach of L'Ermitage-les-bains.
