The restaurant and reception staff were friendly enough, and there's plenty of parking plus a pool at the back. From outside, the hotel looks nice. My room, number 16, smelled strongly of smoke, though. Inside it was worn out, with chipped furniture, dirty walls and a burned carpet. The shower had no hot water at all. For a similar price, there are hotels nearby with much better facilities. Please clean this place up.

The beds are very good, parking is okay, and you're close to the border. The staff were welcoming and moved me to the third floor because there was a huge party going on. I could still hear everything, though. They hold parties on weekends, so don't expect to sleep well. For €40 a night, losing a night's sleep doesn't feel worth it. The hotel needs a full renovation, especially those blue bathrooms and carpets that look like they're from communist times.

The restaurant serves high quality food at sympathetic prices, and the rooms are comfortable and big enough. There's no lift, so getting to a top floor room is a bit of exercise. Parking is guarded, and the hotel is only 2-3 minutes from the A1.

The LUX room was recently renovated, looked amazing and had working air conditioning. I loved it, and the hotel's location is very convenient. If the rest were brought up to that standard, President might finally live up to its name. At the very least, every room needs better AC. That good room and the helpful receptionist lady don't erase how the stay began. We'd booked weeks earlier because, after a long drive, we needed one night's rest before continuing the next day. On arrival, loud wedding music was coming from the ground floor. I think they should have told us ahead of time. We were moved to a room on the third floor to escape the noise, but with the daytime temperature at 40°C, it was unbearably hot. The old, ineffective air conditioning made sleep impossible, and the furniture was old too. We asked for a better room. A friendly staff member offered us a LUX upgrade and asked for extra cash. Soon after, a different receptionist said they couldn't take cash because the reservation had already been paid in advance. She kindly offered the upgrade free because the original room's conditions were unacceptable. But the male staff member wouldn't give the money back and acted very unprofessionally. Around the world, people are given free upgrades when their original room isn't acceptable. The poor start and what felt like dishonest staff behavior outweighed the good parts. I don't recommend staying here. Five stars for the LUX room, the location and the receptionist lady, one star for the rest.
