Călăreții lui Țepes

We arrived late without a booking and the woman working there wasn't helpful. She said the cottages were full and didn't understand English. When I asked whether we could pitch our own tent, she just shrugged, then walked away and acted as if she couldn't see me. After I tried again to get her attention, she quoted 200 lei for a tent spot for four people, even though a cottage was 130 lei. She said it was because of water use, but we'd use water in the cottage too. I don't recommend it. The woman was rude and unhelpful, and the cottages were small and unattractive. We found a place right next door instead, Pensiunea Dandu, with a good price, a comfortable room, a garden, a kitchen we could use, and pleasant people.

We went with our camper and had such a good time that we wished we could stay all summer. We spent 2 days there last week. The owners were hospitable and even let us ride their beautiful horse, which wandered around our camper. There was also a lovely dog we played fetch with, and the views were beautiful. The garden among the mountains has apple trees, with spots for tents, bungalows, and campers. We'll definitely return!

There are 10 A frame huts and space for small or medium tents in the orchard. The campsite also has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and the hosts are very friendly.

The campsite is quiet and green, with a lovely mountain view, but we thought the bungalows were a bit expensive for what they offered. We were the only guests, and the toilets had no toilet paper. The kitchen was missing dish soap and an electric kettle. The host brought those things and took out the garbage only when we left.
