Azuga Ski & Bike Resort

Good value, close to the slopes, with nice, clean rooms that are completely new. The restaurant is great, and there are lots of things for kids, including a kids’ menu, play area, and sleds. They also have EV charging.

I only stopped in for food and drinks, so I can't speak to the accommodation. The restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of reasonably priced choices, though that doesn't guarantee they're good. My papanasi came with sour cream that tasted very strangely sour. The wine we first wanted wasn't available, and the alternatives they showed us were all cheap and low quality. The waiter brought the bottle without glasses or an opener, and we had to ask twice before he brought them. I've never had a waiter who couldn't open a wine bottle, though. The others at the table thought their food was good, but nothing special.

The furniture and design aren't especially modern, but the cleanliness made the stay worth the money. It's a convenient walk, about two minutes to the slope and five to the cable car. The restaurant has a decent range of food and drinks at average prices, and the staff were polite and helpful. Everyone followed the pandemic measures.

The one serious issue was the water. It never got properly hot, just warm, and I saw quite a few people complain about it. Otherwise, the hotel is near the slopes and surrounded by lovely places to walk. The view is nice, the rooms are spacious, clean, and have balconies, and the staff are friendly. It isn't too expensive, and there are parking spaces on site, plus a large lot just outside if those are full.
