The location made getting around easy, with Central Park, City Center, and Town Hall all about a five-minute walk away. It was peaceful, very clean, and cozy, and the owners were friendly and knew their stuff. Breakfast on my first morning was really good, a healthy Romanian-style one. I'd definitely return with my family.

I came to Bacau in April to take care of a few things and stayed here. The place was dirty and dusty, with mediocre conditions and low standards. Whenever I spoke with the owner or asked for something, he was arrogant and rude. The attitude felt Soviet-era. I would avoid this place at all costs.

The center is close by, and the room had a pleasant balcony, especially handy for smokers. It was quiet, with a big comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. The young man on staff was efficient, friendly, and attentive.

The temperature was another small frustration, since I couldn't adjust it myself, or at least I couldn't figure out how. The place itself looks really nice. I was charged twice by mistake, but they refunded me without any trouble.

Room 104 gets one star from me: the central heating didn't work, and water backed up from the shower onto the floor, so it couldn't be used. The staff and dining were pretty OK.
