Hotel Emd

The pool itself was okay, though not very large. The jacuzzi water didn't look clean and smelled like piss, as another reviewer had mentioned. I came from outside Bacau, and the entry price made me expect better comfort and quality. There's no cafe or bar dedicated to the pool, and no waiter. I had to call the bar to order, then was told they had 20 a la carte orders and I could only wait. At a price easily three times higher than the main competition, putting your few paying customers on hold feels like you don't want them. If you don't plan to stay more than three hours or want to pay a lot for average service, I'd pick another option. I will.

The bed was probably the most uncomfortable thing I've slept on since high school, and the rest of the room wasn't much better. Most of the lights didn't work, there was mold in the bathroom, the cupboard base was broken, and the carpet was old and stained. Staff couldn't confirm any part of our booking, whether it existed, whether we'd paid, or what spa access came with it. Our first key didn't work, so we changed rooms, but the second one ranged from merely old to completely broken. This supposedly 4 star hotel is in an almost comical state of disrepair. Don't stay here.

The reception staff were unfriendly, and the entry price is quite high. The jacuzzi water was dirty and smelly, and the sauna was dirty too. Please avoid.

Absolutely superb.
