Pension La Fontana

Had a really nice stay. Everyone on staff was kind, and the food was amazing and tasty. Truly recommend!

The restaurant serves lots of different dishes, and everything was really delicious. It's a really nice place and I'm very satisfied with everything.

The hospitality of Maramures County comes through as soon as you pull into the parking lot. The conditions are great, and there's a lovely fish pond and a playground for the kids. A great restaurant in a beautiful setting. I can only recommend La Fontana as the perfect spot in Baia Mare.

The room was spacious and clean, breakfast buffet was good, the restaurant was nice, and the staff were kind and smiling. There's also private parking, a children's play area and a fun koi pond. But the shower on the first floor took about 15 minutes to get warm, and water pressure was almost nonexistent, more like a dripping hose. The bed squeaked with every movement and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The cleaning lady replaced our towels even though we hadn't left them on the floor, which the instructions say is how to request fresh towels. She also cleaned the room without our putting up the "make my room" sign, and moved our things around, including clothes and the bedside water bottle. She "organized" everything. Please just don't touch our belongings. With electricity and energy bills going up like crazy, good for you, Fontana, for wasting resources like this ;) An event meant we had no parking space on the second day until late at night, and nobody had warned us. We had a lot of equipment in the car that we didn't trust leaving there, and there aren't proper parking spots nearby, so we had to carry it all. If someone had told us that morning, we could have prepared. I passed reception and nobody mentioned it. This is the main reason for the one-star rating, because we chose the accommodation for its safe parking. The event music was also loud everywhere, even in the room. If you're tired from the road or work, don't expect to sleep before 23:00 on the weekend. We were lucky to arrive Friday night rather than during the day Saturday. Customers should be told about this kind of thing. We can accommodate, but don't take us by surprise.
