B-OWL was impeccable, both for the service and the quality of the food. The accommodation is in a central but very quiet spot, and the rooms are spacious and clean. I also liked coming in through that big iron door. The man at reception was respectful and kind, a real gentleman.
The breakfast was exceptional, and I thought it was great value for money. I was pleasantly surprised by the design, the well equipped rooms, and how good the reception staff and waitresses were. Two things did bother me, though: the water pressure was so low I could hardly shower, and the air conditioning had a sour smell.
No elevator, but the kind people there helped us with our luggage. The hotel itself was cozy and nice, and the staff were really helpful. For me, it's the best hotel in the old city of Baia Mare.
This became my go to place for coffee and getting some work done. Everyone on staff was warm and welcoming, and they make amazing drinks. They all speak English too.
Parking was easy, with municipal parking very close by at a reasonable daily fee. The personnel were professional, helpful and nice, and both breakfast and dinner were really tasty. We had burgers and dessert. The location is fabulous, right by the St. Stefan tower, and the room had everything we needed. The interior felt cozy, new and modern, which was a very pleasant surprise. We'd definitely recommend it, and we'll happily return.
