The food was delicious, with Hungarian traditions at the heart of it, and the service was good. The hotel and restaurant are in a beautiful location, and the rooms were clean with fresh renovations. You can also rent a jacuzzi on the property, which added to the enjoyment. A lovely spot for relaxing in comfort and enjoying good food.
Our server was patient with all our requests, made recommendations, and was very helpful. The portions were huge and the food was great. As a vegetarian, I was glad to find options even at a traditional restaurant. The others really enjoyed the goulash soup, so we'd recommend it. Prices felt very fair, and there was a lovely garden and a cute kitty who clearly gets looked after well. What a pleasant surprise!
The restaurant was clean and the staff were really nice. Portions were bigger than the menu suggested, and the papanasi dessert was awesome. The food was really good. I'll go again.
The terrace felt peaceful and was really nice. The food was great, the portions were big, and the staff were great too. The cat was the BEST.
The nature, views, and setting at Istvana are heavenly. The staff are extremely nice, and the food is dangerously good. We always have a wonderful time and look forward to coming back.
