Hotel Mures

The service was awful from start to finish. The rooms were dusty and smelled of cigarettes, the bathroom reeked of sewer, and the food was really bad. My meat and potatoes came swimming in oil. The papanas dessert seemed about two days old and was rock hard. The bill was even brought in a folded napkin. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The place felt like a communist wonderland, and the receptionists had a post-Soviet mindset and manner. I wouldn't be happy working there either.

Some of the women providing medical treatments were unfriendly and spoke to you as if you were their subordinate, or they were doing you a favor. I also won't be returning because the staff were very unfriendly overall. Guests whose room rate doesn't include breakfast can't even get a free morning coffee. They served me coffee on the first two mornings, then charged me 5 Lei for a bad coffee on the third. At the bar, an acceptable espresso costs 4 Lei.

It feels like a Communist-era hotel, very basic though clean. The reception smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

The hotel and rooms feel dated, with old furniture. Breakfast wasn't very good, and the place isn't worth the price unless you have no other options.
