The rooms were mostly okay, and the housekeeping staff did a good job. The hotel has potential, but staff and management have let it down. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the city center. The food was well below standard, and the hygiene practices seemed very questionable. Most staff were unpleasant, with some speaking rudely to guests, while too many employees just stood around. The place feels stuck in the 80s-90s. Loud, bad live music disrupted dinner, and music was blaring everywhere, so there was no quiet moment. Nobody checks the water chemistry, unlike at other hotels in the area. At checkout, when we asked for an itemized payment sheet for all services, they seemed surprised and resisted, claiming the system couldn't provide one. They are required to provide it, which is even illegal. Other guests also left a lot to be desired: some were impolite and ignored basic hygiene, like eating in the pool or going into the sauna without a towel. Avoid weekends if you want to avoid the really horrible Romanian weekend tourists. They said pool towels were provided, but there were none, so we had to use room towels or our own. The hotel was very disorganized. Nobody knew how to answer our questions, including where to book massages. For balneo treatment, the doctor gave an appointment, but staff changed it so the treatment would finish early. We usually love coming to Felix and prefer Lotus Thermes and International, but both were closed for work. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. If it were up to me, management would be sacked and replaced, and the hotel closed or downgraded to two stars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
