Imperial Hotel&Spa - Baile Olanesti

The rooms and pools were very clean, and employees were cleaning constantly. The new spa area is spacious and has lots of saunas. The portions are generous, the food was good, and the papanași were delicious.

It's a shame that guests make so much noise in the lobby. The hotel itself is beautiful and has clearly had a lot invested in its features, which make it worthy of four stars, but the clients don't seem to understand that.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming, hospitable stay. The receptionist was dreadful, always angry, and treated customers in a shockingly unpleasant way. I felt judged and she spoke to me very rudely. Her replies to customer reviews make it seem like she has serious anger management issues and badly needs to learn proper customer service. I would even suggest she see a psychiatrist. Terrible staff.

We only tried the restaurant after someone suggested it, and didn’t stay at the hotel. The food was mostly good, and dishes at nearby tables looked good too, which is why I’d give it four stars instead of three. Still, the desserts were a letdown: the cake arrived frozen in the middle despite the 20-minute wait, and the pancakes seemed quite old, with hard, chewy edges. Our waitress left all the dishes on the table throughout the meal, so they piled up by the time we got the check. We had a table for four despite being only two, so there was room for them. Prices are high for the area, though perhaps that comes with a four-star hotel. I’d say give it a try once; if you don’t have time, you’re not missing much.
