Fortuna Eco - Boutique Hotel

The rooms are tastefully decorated, and I had nothing to complain about. The restaurant is one of the best around, with amazing food, though it can get a little crowded. If you enjoy spicy food, give the gulaș a try. The hotel’s sauna is also great, but it costs extra. It’s some of the best accommodation in the city. I’ll probably return soon, and I definitely recommend it.

The restaurant served the taste of home we’d been looking for. We also tried the new bowling room, which everyone should give a go. After two days here, we can say the accommodation is distinctive and very well kept. We’d visited before but hadn’t stayed overnight, and loved the view from the small balcony and the neatly arranged garden. It’s nice to find a place in the middle of Transylvania that lives up to the name Evo Boutique. Thanks to everyone at Fortuna for making us feel so welcome and special.

We got breakfast and dinner with our booking. Each meal had a menu, with four breakfast choices and six for dinner. The food tasted good and service was quick, though everything was fried in oil, with nothing grilled or oven-cooked. The restaurant has a cozy look, and the staff were attentive, focused, genuinely friendly, and spoke at least two languages. The apartment I booked a month ahead for my parents and me was spacious and decorated in a rustic style. I liked the natural stone walk-in shower, the glass-cube wall, and the many green plants that made the room feel homey. It had several windows and a balcony with views all around. The room felt very warm when we arrived, but as time passed it was just right. The beds were comfortable, with ergonomic foam pillows and mattresses, and it was very quiet. Hot water took a minute to reach the second floor, which was understandable. The central Thermal Baths were closed for renovations, which we only learned once we got there. The hotel offered to get the outdoor hot tub ready, and one bottle of wine with dinner was complimentary. Thank you for that nice gesture. We paid 2000 Ron for 2 nights in apartment 10, half board for 3 adults, which felt like a good deal.

We spent two days at this family-run hotel and enjoyed every minute. It sits in a great spot surrounded by nature, and the food was delicious. The rooms have a distinctive design and lots of thoughtful details. We especially enjoyed the fantastic new boutique bowling place. There’s also a skiing lift next to the hotel, handy for making the most of the winter season.
