Labirint Hotel

We were there for four days and ended up in three different rooms. The first had a leak that ruined my pack of 200 cigarettes. In the second, the electricity kept cutting out. The key card wouldn’t open the third room, so I had to keep going to reception to have someone let me in. At check-in, they said they couldn’t find our booking and that we’d have to pay again or leave. After about 20 minutes of showing emails and bank transactions and saying we’d go to the police, they suddenly found it. Watch out for the young guy who’s there most days, as he kept overcharging us. I also saw him going through a woman’s handbag and told her after she came out of the toilet. She went ballistic. He denied it, then said I was lying, then claimed he’d put a brochure in the bag. Make up your own mind. We paid the tab when we left, and it was about three times the actual amount. Never again.

When we arrived, the air felt a little stale, but the staff were all friendly, polite, and helpful without being pushy. Breakfast was standard, with a few items changing each day, and they made an extra sandwich for our vegan friends. There was a good wine selection, too. The rooms seemed renovated and were really nice and cute. We were very happy with our stay and would come back to Bucharest and stay here again. We’ll recommend it. Check-out was at 12 pm. The thin wall and connecting door between my room and the next meant I could hear the other guest talking and snoring, so I didn’t sleep much. The entrance door also felt flimsy and had no inside safety lock. On the good side, the staff were welcoming, the check-in was smooth, and they went out of their way to help. The room was clean, and the restaurant meals and drinks were great. Thanks for the hospitality. It was a good stay overall, but I won’t return.

The food and cocktails were great, and the service was fantastic. It’s right in the center of Bucharest. Highly recommend!
