Pensiunea Vis Alpin Belis

After two weeks traveling around Romania, this was the best meal we had! The people were so kind, and the portions were big and tasty. There’s a beautiful garden outside the restaurant where the kids can play. We’d definitely recommend it and are already planning to come back.

The view is beautiful, and there’s plenty to do whether you want to relax or head out exploring. We had everything we needed for changing weather and other little needs, and the owner was flexible, so it’s worth asking if you want something. There are six private parking spots, and the property is monitored, which felt reassuring. We stayed in the small double-bed house. The mattress was softer than we like, though others may prefer it. The room temperature was just right, and the bathroom was spacious and looked great. The food felt fine-dining quality, with no frozen ingredients. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it once you taste it. The waiters were kind and quick to help or point us in the right direction. Everything exceeded what we expected. It feels original, from the way the guesthouse is run to the decorations, and it’s quite different from other places we’ve stayed. We had a great time and will definitely return.

A relaxing, kid-friendly place with clean rooms and really nice decorations. It’s close to the lake, and if you enjoy walking, you can pick raspberries along the path. Recommended.

The food was good, but waiting more than 25 minutes for pasta was awful. They seemed to be waiting for someone else to order carbonara so they could make the portions together. That felt unprofessional. The owner was rude at the end, too, which made the whole visit strange. The place itself is beautiful, easy to find, and has plenty of parking nearby. I’ll update this review if things change.
