Grand Hotel Coroana

Parking can be a little tricky because they're very busy at the moment, but the staff are doing their best to find you a spot. We had a small reservation issue, and the employees sorted it out quickly. Breakfast was fresh with a wide selection. A great hotel in Bistrita, and an excellent choice for a business trip.

There were dead mosquitoes all over the walls, and it sounded like the previous guests had the same problem. My two-year-old daughter was bitten eight times. Even bug spray didn't help, there were so many. We rented a room for one night but had to leave at 1 am because it had become unbearable. Of course, they still asked us to pay the full room price.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I'd definitely come back. We had a great stay: the room was great, breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant food was great too.

The location is good, in a really special town, and the rooms were pretty nice, clean, and a bit dated. The front desk staff were attentive and pleasant. Breakfast and the dining area were nice, though the restaurant staff seemed to struggle to smile and might have been shy about communicating. The conveyor toaster didn't convey, so making toast became a little grilling project. I was tempted to put a hot dog on it, but resisted. It was quiet on Sunday night, with the hotel not busy. The lobby was due for renovation, and the crew started just before eight on Monday morning. It was unavoidably loud, so anyone who needed to get up before eight was fine, but that was wake-up time for everyone else in the building. The parking lot is right out front, small but ample enough for now with occupancy low.
