The quiet setting is what made this stay special: the B&B sits at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac, near a mountain peak, with a forest road leading to an old copper mine. It felt wonderfully wild and still. Our host welcomed us with locally distilled “palincă” and made us a lovely dinner and breakfast. A warm, homely spot to properly unwind and get a real taste of Maramureş.

A lovely place to slow down, right by the forest and a good starting point for mountain walks. The hosts were kind and ready to help, and everything was clean. Great for a quiet retreat.

We enjoyed the food we ordered, it was delicious. The rooms were clean, and the friendly hosts greeted us with palinca.
