A friendly, hands-off host welcomed our group with homemade alcohol and baked pastries. This is a clean, modern self-catering place with a subtle traditional feel, and it has five rooms. A good choice for a stay.

From the upstairs pavilion, there's a lovely view over Borsa village and Pietrosul mountain, which is 2303 m high. The pavilion has a grill and a table for meals. We also found a small market at the entrance with essentials, cold food, and drinks, and there was a fully equipped kitchen inside. We parked in the courtyard, which had surveillance cameras. The room was warm and clean, with a dream of a bed, and the pension felt both modern and cozy. We were greeted with traditional palinca and donuts, a lovely surprise. This was in June 2017.

The owners were friendly and happy to share information about places to visit nearby. The rooms were cozy and clean, and there’s a fully equipped kitchen with coffee provided. Outside, there’s a stove oven and a grill. They welcomed us with Palinca (Moonshine) and homemade donuts, and we had a great stay.

The people here are really friendly, and the place blends traditional details with modern comfort in a smart way. From the rooms on the second level, you get a great view of the Rodnei mountains. You can try traditional pear palinca, and in winter there are colorful local traditions to see, as well as horse-drawn sleigh rides in the nearby woods.
