Hotel Traian

The location was convenient, and the air conditioning worked well. They also supplied towels and small extra pillows. The rest was less comfortable: the room and bathroom weren't very clean, and I spotted a few bugs. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, never mind lock. Wi-Fi was very weak in my room, and there was just one outlet near the two single beds. The hotel feels quite old, and with one of its two elevators out of service during my stay, there were long waits for the small one that was working. They still use physical keys instead of electronic cards.

I was here for one work night. The central location didn't make much of an impression on me, and it was sad seeing such a landmark in the middle of town deteriorate. The room had old furniture and an old TV, with very few outlets. The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, even when locked, and one small, old elevator was running while the other was still being renovated.

The suite apartment is huge, and for the money it's hard to beat.

Getting around the city from here is easy, but the place has a ghost hotel feel. The cuisine was horrible and inedible, the room fridge didn't even have a bottle of water, and the staff never cleaned the room. The hall smelled of onion and garlic the whole time. Abandon every hope, ye who enter here (Dante Alighieri).
