Everything was clean and well organized, and the room had all the things we needed. The bath was cozy, and waking up to the snowy garden view was so cute. The little cat downstairs made the stay feel perfect. Breakfast was very nice, with what I think were traditional Romanian cured meats and cheeses, plus jams, toast, cereal, juice, and yogurt. I'm really sad to be heading back to the UK.

We were glad to find such a warm, welcoming place while spending a few days around Bran and the mountains. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and the big enclosed garden with its playground and toys would work well for families with young kids. You can hear people moving about upstairs because the building is wooden, which was a little annoying. I'd happily stay here again.

The best.

The quiet setting away from Bran's noise was a big plus. I was in a GR Junior room with a small private balcony, greenery, and a view on the quiet side. The room and dining area looked great, with a modern design. But maintenance was poor in places: wax on the curtain, a badly worn mattress that made me sleep terribly for all four nights, dust on the TV, spiders in the bathroom, and a crooked balcony screen that didn't close properly and let insects in. Noise was another problem. The first night, people in the attic room walked around until about 2, and I could hear footsteps through the poor insulation, even into the bathroom. I mentioned the quiet hours in the morning. They were only there for one night. The Junior rooms are meant for adults and share a building with the regular rooms, but they still let a couple stay with a baby under one year old, which didn't seem right. Breakfast was the same each morning, and the service was confusing. They served us the first day, nobody came the second so we served ourselves while the other guests had breakfast brought to them, we were told to help ourselves on day three, then served again on the last morning. One morning the bread was moldy, and even after I asked for another loaf, I couldn't get past that. Apart from watermelon there was no other fruit, and there were no pastries or desserts. The breakfast could use more variety. Room cleaning was nonexistent during our four-night stay. The towels weren't changed, the trash wasn't taken out, and toiletries weren't replenished. I had to get toilet paper and towels myself, which didn't seem normal. By the end, it felt like I had paid for a modern room and little else. It's supposed to be a retreat, but the mix of accommodations doesn't work very well. If service stays like this, I wouldn't return.

The room was gorgeous, almost made for Instagram, and the cleanliness and peace were lovely. Still, for the price, the stay only really delivered on the room, cleanliness, and quiet. There are little practical things to fix: hooks on the bathroom door for towels and robes, a shower holder for gel and shampoo, and mattresses by the Loft room window so guests can enjoy that beautiful spot comfortably. I liked that breakfast could be brought to the room. But there's no chef, and after more than two days the same eggs, vegetables, cold cuts, cheeses, butter, jam, yogurt, and cereal with milk got frustrating, especially at these prices. More variety would help. The Junior rooms are listed as not accepting children. I love kids, but when I choose a place advertised as peaceful, I want that rule respected. Breakfast noise in the morning was unpleasant, especially when the parents did nothing helpful and made things worse. The stay was good overall, though there are small things to improve for the price.
