The setting among hills and mountains was delightful, and the atmosphere was great. We felt true Romanian warmth and grace, with perfect hospitality and excellent food. Highly recommend for families and couples.

The natural setting is amazing, but the food was terrible, always over-salted and overcooked. The staff were rude and impolite, and seemed unwilling to help if you were a man. If you're a woman, there'll be a Romanian flirting with you, ready to help and invite you to live with him in Spain. It absolutely wasn't worth the money. Some of the other problems: drains that didn't work, water leaking from the lighting, bathroom tiles mounted on nails, and doors that wouldn't close.

I stopped in the area to get something to eat and came across this newly renovated Hotel in Simon. I heard it's a family business, and I'm glad to see one growing in Romania. It's quiet, with a river running underneath the restaurant terrace. The food was extraordinary. I had the best Wiener Schnitzel I've ever eaten. Just be aware, the portion is huge.

The portions were so big we could barely finish our food. Everything about dinner was amazing, from the welcome to the service, and the food was absolutely delicious. The woman serving our table was incredibly sweet, nice, and accommodating. Our host was also wonderful and kind, and gave us all the information we asked for. Strongly recommend this place.
