The garden is lovely and great for kids, with a trampoline and swing. The place is in Bran, about 900m on foot from the center. Our room was clean, with a few bits needing maintenance, but generally it matched what we expected. They kindly set up an extra bed for the three of us so we wouldn't have to share the large bed. Hospitality was very good, and the welcome was nice after a full day of hiking. One thing we hadn't realized is that at most places like this, you need to ask ahead for dinner or breakfast. We hadn't, and the kitchen was full with no more food for dinner, so they suggested a restaurant in town, 900m away. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced, about 9 eur per person.

Although the place has good reviews, this booking experience left me unsure about trusting the request for payment in advance. I was trying to book 2 nights, and Booking showed a phone booking offer at 180 RON/night. After checking, the host said that room wasn't available but offered another one for a little more. They then asked me to pay 1 night in advance. I said I didn't have any guarantee when booking by phone rather than through Booking or another platform. The host changed his attitude, said it had become a little busy, and couldn't discuss it anymore. So my feedback is neutral, 3/5.
