The attic apartment, the so-called penthouse, was a disaster. There was no air conditioning or ventilation, the bedroom bed was misshapen and uncomfortable, and the TV screen was only 35 cm. It didn’t matter what else might have been good, we couldn’t get any rest. The villa itself might deserve 3 stars, but this apartment definitely doesn’t.

Carina is very close to Bran castle, and there’s a restaurant just a few metres away, though we didn’t try it. For coffee in the morning, Panner Bakery is a good coffeeshop about a 3-minute drive away. We had free parking by the villa entrance. Our spacious room had a master bed and a smaller one, but the bathroom area felt too small and the lighting was weak. The TV wasn’t plugged in, and its socket was hidden behind a heavy closet, so we couldn’t use it. The fridge made such horrible noises that we had to unplug it to sleep. We’d booked one night after travelling in Bran and Moiscea de Sus.
