I booked two double rooms by email about 2 weeks before our stay, transferred RON520, and got confirmation. I called the morning we were due to arrive, and the owner said everything was fine. But when we showed up at 18h, he was waiting outside to say there was a group of loud people and he’d move us to another location. He took us to a different villa, where we would have been the only guests and the stay would have cost RON400. He hadn’t mentioned the price difference. I asked when the loud group had checked in, and he said the day before. We wouldn’t stay at the other place, so he gave us our money back.

We had a good breakfast and dinner prepared by the host, who was very receptive. There’s lots of room in the villa, including big shared and dining areas, and it’s a nice place to book for a group near Bran Castle.

The rooms are big, and the place feels cozy, with nice hosts. I did find it a bit expensive. Four stars doesn’t seem right when there’s no fridge, hair dryer, air conditioner, spa, sauna or anything like that.
