Villa Alba by Akasha Retreat

We loved how peaceful it felt here, even though Bran was still conveniently close. Tall trees and fields of wildflowers surrounded the house, making it easy to feel connected to nature. The hosts were thoughtful and attentive when we needed them, while still giving us room to enjoy the quiet. In the morning, soft music played in the mainhouse, but our room stayed restful and undisturbed. Cats wandered by, a bushy-tailed squirrel darted up a nearby tree, and colorful butterflies fluttered around. It was a charming, genuinely relaxing haven where happiness came easily.

Villa Alba by Akasha felt like a home away from home in the peaceful countryside of Predelut, near the picturesque village of Peștera. My husband Răzvan and I spent a lovely autumn weekend there, and we’re already thinking about coming back for a family gathering. The spacious rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, and we especially liked the interior garden, which can be used for private events. The villa is part of the new Akasha retreats concept, focused on well-being and rejuvenation. Meals were outstanding, with fresh organic ingredients. On our first evening, we shared dinner with another couple. The conversation flowed like we’d known each other for years, and that communal meal made us feel part of a family. It captured the sense of connection the place aims for. The surroundings were serene, with fresh air that helped us switch off from busy life. The house has comforting scents and tranquil vibes, and it’s surrounded by beautiful nature. It’s a place to pause, reflect, and enjoy simple things and good company. We can’t wait to return.

We stayed at Villa Alba in mid-July and loved having dinners outside under the big old trees. The garden felt like an oasis, and it was at least 10 degrees cooler than everywhere else nearby. We slept so well in room no.2, with its high-quality mattresses and views of green, calming forests and beautiful mountains. Akasha Retreats has made this soulful, beautiful house feel welcoming from the moment you walk in. Just staying there is an experience, and you can also get the delicious breakfast and dinner from their first location in Pestera. Yoga classes and mindful experiences are available there too, just take a cab to the other place. I’m looking forward to going back, and recommend visiting at least once every 2 months. :)

Villa Alba is such a gem for a proper rest and reset. The peaceful surroundings and hospitality make me eager to return. Through its collaboration with Akasha Retreats, guests can get excellent meals and wellness activities with a quick taxi ride. There are holistic options too, including yoga classes and sound healing sessions.
