Blue House

Brasov is such a picturesque town. I only stayed one night and wish I’d booked two, because there was more to see. The Blue House is a good place to stay, and I’d recommend it.

It’s peaceful enough for a quiet night, but still close enough to walk into the city centre. We got there in five minutes on foot, without hurrying. A great place to stay, I recommend it!

It’s an okay place to crash while visiting Brasov, mostly because you can walk to the city centre. Nothing really stands out. It wasn’t very clean, though it wasn’t dirty either, and breakfast was decent enough to get the day started. There was no shower gel or shampoo, just a cheap liquid hand soap, and we had fewer towels than usual. There were three of us and we got one small towel and two larger ones. Foreign guests may get slightly better treatment: they can eat at a table instead of having three people at a bar meant for two, and may get a few other small advantages. I strongly recommend booking through a Booking site. You’ll know the price for sure, and the service may be better because they’re afraid of bad reviews.

It was expensive and not very clean. There was no parking, shower gel, or shampoo, and we didn’t get enough towels. I felt they treated foreign guests properly but didn’t treat others the same way. I don’t recommend it.
