Casa Chitic

The included breakfast was great, and we really wished we could have stayed longer. We needed a place with three beds, and this worked perfectly. It’s a beautiful historic building with original wooden floors, exposed brick, and beams. Reception shuts at 7pm, but they contacted us ahead of time with clear instructions for getting into the apartment after hours. It’s also easy to walk around from here, just off the pedestrian cobblestone street.

We had a comfortable, quiet room with a really nice bed, and the hotel was clean throughout. It’s a great spot, only a two minute walk from the main square. The staff were friendly and quick to help. We paid extra for a mountain view and felt it was worth it, and the early check-in upgrade made arrival easier. A nice blend of traditional and modern, with everything we needed. We loved our stay and would recommend it.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the view was amazing. Breakfast tasted quite good too. It’s right in the center of Brasov, which made for a great location.

The staff were generally polite, but the facilities left me disappointed. Parking was a real hassle, especially at busy times, and the spaces available were a long way from the entrance. It was frustrating not having easy access to the car. I also slept badly because the mattress was so firm it was almost unbearable. I woke up sore each morning, which took away from a stay that should have been relaxing. I can’t tell whether the springs were worn or if that’s just how the mattress is made. I’m not sure anyone will take this review seriously or read it, and after this experience I doubt anything will change. I hope other guests don’t end up as disappointed as I was.
