Casa Gotica Residence

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday and Christmas. The reception lady was kind and showed us around, and everyone was caring and attentive, checking if we needed anything. Our room was good, clean and warm, and we couldn't hear any outside noise at all. There's a kitchen where you can make coffee and enjoy it on the balcony with a beautiful mountain view. Good price and quality. I highly recommend it.

I booked by accident for that same evening because the Booking.com app reset my selected date. I immediately requested a cancellation and called Casa Gotica front desk to explain, but they ignored me and sent me to Booking.com. Then they ignored Booking.com's customer service too. They replied to this one-star review saying I couldn't review them because I hadn't stayed there. When they understood my point was that they couldn't keep my money if I hadn't stayed, they deleted that reply. I eventually had to spend time going through a credit card chargeback to get reimbursed. It would have taken the hotel one click, but they chose to be greedy and take either my money or my time. Be careful with these people.

The staff were helpful and check-in was smooth, and the rooms stayed surprisingly quiet despite the lively central location. Casa Gotica Residence is right in the heart of Brașov, just steps from Council Square and the Black Church, so it's a convenient base for sightseeing or skiing. My room was spacious, spotless and beautifully furnished. The bed felt a bit hard to me, and I could have used extra pillows, but the quality towels, shower gel and strong Wi-Fi were thoughtful touches. I'd gladly recommend it for comfort, convenience and charm in Brașov.

The service was above and beyond, and the rooms were clean and beautiful. I visited a few days ago and had an outstanding stay. The hotel is in an amazing central spot in Brasov. Many thanks to Ramona.
