Grand Hotel Brasov

The staff were friendly and willing to help, and breakfast was decent. Still, I wouldn’t pick this place again over other options. The carpet in our room was visibly dirty, and the toilet seat looked old and yellowed. I was worried there might be bedbugs, though I found no concrete evidence and still can’t say for sure. Other guests mentioned it too. The kitchen utensils seemed quite old, and I wasn’t sure how clean the kitchen was. There’s no lunch or dinner at the hotel. The place was okay, but it needed a much more thorough cleaning. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

There’s a good coffee shop an easy walk away, and getting food delivered twice was no trouble. I also tried a massage and came away feeling wonderfully relaxed. The price for it was great. At the hotel, the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The rooms were clean, though a little dated, and it was quiet both inside and around the property. For what it costs, it had everything I wanted. I’d recommend it.

The pool was a nice way to unwind after a long day, and the breakfast was lovely with fresh coffee. Our room was clean, and the staff were welcoming. We hadn’t noticed when booking that the rooms don’t have air conditioning. I needed another sewing kit, and the staff brought one over right away.

The stay went smoothly from the phone booking and directions through to parking, the room, breakfast, service, and concierge desk. The owners and staff deserve a personal thank you. They’ve restored some of my faith in the lodging business. I’d gladly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting quality accommodation. It calls itself four star, and I agree. It’s a rare find in Romania, where I’ve otherwise found the options below average and drab. Bravo, everyone did a great job.
