Brașov was delightful, and we were sorry to leave this apartment. It’s about a four-minute walk to the old town square, with the Black Church just a couple of blocks away. We could visit Bran Castle, Peles Castle, and the one where the series "Wednesday" was filmed in a day. Sighisoara and Sibiu are farther away but reachable by car. The owner met us when we arrived and explained how everything worked. The place is modern, with under-floor heating throughout and mini-split heat pump cooling in the living areas. Both bedrooms have king-size beds and plenty of room, as does the living room. Storage and closet space are ample in every room. Each room, including the kitchen, has a flat-panel TV with a remote. The kitchen has a large-for-Europe refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, conventional ovens, and ceramic cooktop. There are dishes and service for six, plus lots of cookware and utensils. The full bath is spacious, with a very nice shower that has both an overhead rain head and handheld unit. There’s also a cozy half bath, and both bathrooms have heated towel racks. A large drying rack is provided, and there are more 220v plugs than in many European accommodations. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend it.
