Rossmarkt Haus

The breakfast was tasty and filling, though it got a bit repetitive, and the Wi-Fi stayed fast and reliable during our stay at RossMarkt Haus. The rooms were clean, modern and well equipped, while still having a rustic feel. We were there in Brașov from August 20 to September 2, 2025, and had a wonderful experience. It’s right in the city center, close to restaurants, shops and major attractions. The building has two floors and no elevator, so getting luggage upstairs could be an issue for some people. Nearby pastry shops and restaurants are worth exploring, though I’d check their reviews first. A free walking tour with a local guide is a good way to find details you might otherwise miss. We also highly recommend climbing Tampa Peak for views of the old and new city. The cable car runs at times; otherwise, it’s a moderately challenging hike. We’d happily come back and recommend RossMarkt Haus.

Our room was spacious and cozy, with a great view of the black church. Eszter was really helpful and friendly to deal with. The location was excellent, and the staff were friendly too. If you choose the buffet breakfast, it’s served at a nearby hotel, off site. The AC worked very well, and the soundproofing was nice.

The hotel left a positive impression overall, and the owner was especially nice and polite. Our checkout was at 11.00, but she let us stay until 12.00. When we asked to leave our bags at the hotel until it was time to go to the train station, she immediately offered space in her office. She always replied quickly and was never impolite. Her attitude toward guests deserves 10 stars out of 5. The main drawbacks were that the rooms could have been cleaned better, and the hotel's placement meant crossing the road every time we went to breakfast when choosing the “buffet”. Booking says the windows look out on the Black Church, which was true for two of our three windows. One of those was in the bathroom.

Eszter, the owner, kept everything so well organized and helpful that our three days in this cozy, clean place became a unique experience. The beautiful old tranditional house is right in the center of Brasov. From the very beginning, she was so kind and made us feel at home. Thank you so much, and all the best. Hope to meet again!
