Adrian was so welcoming and available whenever we needed him, and even let us check in very early. The house is beautiful and quiet, with an amazing view, and the comfortable beds and individually charming rooms made it a great stay. It’s right by the forest but still within walking distance of the old city. Highly recommended.

Adrian was very friendly and attentive, and sent clear instructions for parking and getting in before we arrived. The view is especially worth mentioning, as is the tasty breakfast, which you order the evening before. The stay was really comfortable, and the owner’s eye for detail shows in the stylish place. You can walk into the inner city, or take a cheap Uber back uphill.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast came from a local eatery in the village. It’s a cosy place with lovely views across town, and you can park outside the hotel. The main center, with plenty of shops and places to eat, is about a 15 minutes walk away. Recommended.

Adrian was kind and very helpful throughout our stay at Shard Boutique Hotel. He offered to move us to a room that better matched our preferences and arranged breakfast for us even though we hadn’t booked it beforehand. He was flexible, quick to help, and professional. Highly recommended!

A distinctive spot for a city break, and especially suited to couples. Five stars for the host.
