A.G Romana Hostel

The place stinks, it's filthy, and there’s nowhere to put your things. The bathroom is in horrible condition, and there's no heater. I was freezing all night, and the bed cover barely covers anything. The kitchen had dirty dishes and a terrible smell, OMG. It felt like an Indian kitchen, google it if you want to get the idea. Nepalese people were managing it, but it was still the same. Want to rest after a long day? Skip this hotel, unless you want to stay up all night like I did.

I went in a bit worried after reading the other reviews, but my two days there felt like home. The facilities aren't as fancy as at some other hostels, but the essentials were all there and worked fine: clean bed, hot shower, reasonably clean toilet, kitchen with a fridge, and nice people at reception. For 10 euros a night, I don't think you can ask for more. Nice work, AG Romana Hostel! Keep it up!

There were so many bedbugs, I should have read the reviews before staying. It was cheap, but absolutely not worth all the bites. My whole body is in a terrible state after just one night and a couple of hours there. It isn't even that central. Find somewhere better.

The worker put us in a room with a lot more beds than we had booked. When we asked for the price difference back, they tried to claim it cost the same, even though we could easily look it up. We also saw staff make beds after guests left without changing the sheets, which felt really unhygienic. The A/C didn't work, and it was over 40C. The bathroom was okay, and there was usually someone at the coded gate, so our belongings felt reasonably safe. They didn't offer us lockers, though.
