The staff were lovely and welcoming during our afternoon tea visit to Epoque, but the facilities for babies and disabled guests were shockingly poor. This wasn’t our first visit, which made the lack of basic amenities especially disappointing. We had our newborn with us and needed to change them. I was told there was no changing area, only the women’s bathroom. That room was tiny and dim, with nowhere safe to lay a baby. I’d noticed the disabled toilet on the way, but its door was locked. When I asked to use it, I was told it served as a storage cupboard and wasn’t available. So I ended up changing my newborn on the bathroom floor. It felt unhygienic and was extremely awkward in such a cramped space. We were lucky nobody else came in, because there wouldn’t have been room. For a hotel of this standard, not having baby-changing facilities is disappointing, and the disabled toilet should not be unavailable to guests because it’s being used for storage. Accessible facilities are basic amenities that many people rely on. Sadly, this seems to be a wider issue in Bucharest, but it was particularly surprising at a venue of this calibre. It’s a nice place in many ways, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone visiting with a baby or needing accessible facilities.

The suites were lovely and the hotel was immaculate throughout. Service was incredible from beginning to end, with a gorgeous spa and a great massage. The menu was Michelin standard, and the staff gave excellent service and information about local food and wine. The bar service was great too, and the minibar menu was reasonable. The whole atmosphere has us wanting to return.

We were so happy to discover Epoque. It’s easily become our first choice for future Bucharest stays. The hotel is beautifully designed and maintained, clean throughout, with lovely attention to detail. Cismigiu Suite was a delight, big, cozy, and comfortable. The staff were outstanding and always went the extra mile to make us feel at ease and meet our requests. Room service was prompt, and the valet was attentive. Dinner was a great experience. The bar is cozy with nice decor and amazing cocktails, and at breakfast the two gentlemen serving us made the start of the day feel fresh and fun. Thank you, congratulations, and keep it up 🥂!

The hotel is quiet and peaceful, and just a lovely place to spend time. It’s elegant and spotless, absolutely stunning. The staff are the best part, so welcoming, pleasant, and helpful with whatever you need.

We’d stay here again and recommend it. The service and food were great, and the hotel is luxurious and opulent. There’s a brilliant bar and chill area, plus a great room with a comfortable bed and good amenities. It’s well located, around a 15-minute walk from the city centre and some excellent restaurants. Try Hanu' Lui Manuc, you'll love it.
