Bucharest Unirii Square

Good location, comfortable bed, decent breakfast, and friendly staff. This was my third stay in seven months, and the price-to-quality ratio feels a little worse than it used to. Some better sound insulation against outside noise on the lower floors would be welcome.

The staff made a lasting impression on us. At around 1 a.m., my wife’s oxygen machine became unusable when the nebuliser port broke off. Mr. Alexander was on reception and quickly got help. At 2 a.m., Mr. Carlos and Mr. Adam Ali Ahmed went far out of their way to help me fix it. By about 3, we’d managed to block the broken port and the machine was working again. I’ll never forget what they did for my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you were like angels sent to help us. We stayed two nights and had booked a room for three. Room 408 was spacious and just right, check-in was quick, and the extra bed was ready even though we arrived around 12:15 a.m. There was no drinking water in the room, but a non-stop shop was about 150-200 meters across the road, and I could quickly get basics there, including water around 1 a.m. The room had a fridge and safe, and two windows. We kept them open because the outside air was cooler than what the blower was putting out. In summer, the blower might be a bit insufficient, though I suppose that depends on the guests. Shower pressure was good. Breakfast was good, and Mr. Sorin was a cheerful face to see there. The coffee shop next door was nice, with young, friendly staff. Checkout was quick too. The hotel is central and wheelchair friendly. We’ll definitely come back to Bucharest, and Bucharest Unirii Square has left us with a wonderful memory for the rest of our lives.

The location was convenient, and finding transport from the airport was easy. Reception staff were friendly and helped me work out how to get to my destination. Breakfast was decent. I had a twin room that was clean, quiet, and restful, with a subtle masculine style. I was pleasantly surprised by the little round table and armchair beside the window, which gave me a comfortable place to work on my laptop. For me, it was a five-star stay, and I’d like to come back next year when I’m in Bucharest for business.

Stefan was especially helpful, suggesting good places to eat, including Hanul Berarilor, and arranging our tour to castle Bran. We were a group from Italy staying in December and were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were elegant and nice, the beds were comfortable, and the heating worked well.
