The rooms are roomy and recently renovated, and the staff and management were genuinely kind and helpful. Getting in early in the morning was easy with the coded access system. It’s about 2 kilometres from the city centre, though public transport is available. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is stylish, and our room was clean and neat. We were especially grateful that the receptionist let us know we could check in early, which helped a lot since we had our child with us. They also provided a baby crib. We’ll stay here again when we return to Bucharest.

The trolley made getting around easy. It’s cheap, fast, comfortable, and comes often, so the location mattered less than I expected. We also walked back at night without any trouble in the nice May weather. The hotel was cheaper than most alternatives when I visited. There’s no food service, but there’s a pizzeria and an ice cream place next door, plus a couple of breakfast cafes across the street. The rooms were clean and a decent size, though the bathroom was on the small side. Staff were great. The street isn’t quiet, but it’s not extremely noisy either. The rail sounds might bother some people, though they didn’t bother me. If you’re fascinated by the history of communist-era urban architecture atrocities, you may like the view.

The tidy rooms had some practical gaps: our triple room came with only two pairs of slippers, and we had to share a duvet. There’s a hair dryer, but no ironing board. Wi-Fi worked well, and towels were changed almost every day. You can’t leave your luggage at the hotel for safekeeping after checkout. The refrigerators didn’t work, and there was an unpleasant smell of urinal and smoke. Some receptionists didn’t speak English at all, though the ones who did were kind. It was noisy outside, and even dogs barked in the rooms.
