Ganzo Boutique Hotel

A clean, well maintained hotel with very kind and helpful staff. I’d highly recommend it.

Calling this a “4* Hotel” feels like a complete joke. Is that even legal? The rating seems made up. Another review called it a hostel posing as a hotel, and I agree. The room design was poor, the shower was awful, and the worst pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel made the stay even harder. It was extremely noisy at night, with the hotel on a busy road and thin windows. You can smoke inside, so all the corridors are like a hotbox and you end up passive smoking. Disgusting. There’s no security, either: anyone can walk straight in off the street. The stairways look like a building site, and the receptionist was never there. Stay away. A complete con.

The room was clean and nice, and I was given a robe and slippers. Breakfast was good, the receptionists I met were nice, and they also offered me a complimentary glass of champagne. Personally, I didn’t have any major issues. The annoying part was how thin the walls are. I could clearly hear people walking past my room and using the stairs. I was on the first floor, very close to the stairs, and everyone has to use them to reach their room. I didn’t notice any elevators.

Free parking and a good location made getting around easy, and breakfast was really good. The welcome at reception stood out too, everyone was warm and friendly, and the drink at check-in was a nice little touch. The shared areas feel thoughtfully finished. The bedroom carpet, though, was gross and made the room feel dirty. Some of the furniture is dated as well. If you can get past those things, you'll enjoy your stay.
