Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti

A warm welcome, a big clean room, and all the amenities we needed, including an Espresso machine. Breakfast had a wide variety and the service was great. We had our best Christmas and wedding anniversary ever. We highly recommend it.

I stayed here over the summer and loved it. It’s just as pretty as it looks, and the spa, location, and service all made it such a pleasure. The staff were really friendly. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely come back. Excellent in every aspect!

The Thai Co Spa downstairs left us speechless 😍, and the bistro attached to the hotel was a great dinner option. Breakfast was a lovely spread, and our room was beautiful, though it had a few minor cosmetic flaws that should be addressed. They didn’t affect our experience. Michael at the front desk was awesome, as was Reluca. The parking staff were always pleasant and ready to help. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next Bucharest adventure.

The staff were lovely, the location is great, and the historic building is beautiful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But the closer you look, the less convincing the “heritage-luxury” feel becomes. The details look dated, and the fabrics and furniture don’t feel like good quality. The bathroom felt disconnected from the rest of the room. It’s not the mix of modern and classic that bothered me, but the lack of harmony in the colours, materials, and overall look. Even small things chipped away at the luxury feel: the free water, one still and one sparkling for two guests, could lead to unexpected negotiations, and the TV quality didn’t meet five-star expectations. It’s a pleasant hotel, but it doesn’t deliver the refined, polished five-star experience.
